We are now five days removed from the much talked about postgame handshake between Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving and people still want to discuss it. Even though both guys have tried to clear up all the confusion, questions are still popping up. So, Love decided to address the rumors surrounding the handshake while killing two birds with one stone through the following quote, courtesy of Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal.

"Whatever (people assumed) we were doing with our hands was about as true as me going to the Lakers,” Love said, on Friday. “Going to the Lakers, I don’t know where someone got that.”

As you may have heard, rumors have been swirling recently that Love could opt out of his deal next summer and sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. But apparently, that won't be the case. While Love does see the suspicion regarding their hand placement at the end of the handshake, he wants to ensure everyone that the mustache claim is the truth.

“I don’t know why it was so hard for people to realize we were actually curling our mustache. I guess because I had my fingers in the wrong place,” he said. “But looking at the tape, film don’t lie. It does look like we’re doing something bad, but that’s not the case.”

So, there you have it. No more questions about whether or not he is planning to leave and join the Lakers. And while we're at it, can this be the last time we talk about this damn handshake?
