Back in 2010, there was a huge LeBron James banner hanging up in the middle of downtown Cleveland that was put there to show just how important LBJ was to the city. However, after LeBron left the Cavaliers in the summer of 2010 to join the Heat, the banner was promptly removed—a sign that the Cavs were going to try to scrub LeBron from their memories as quickly as possible. It sounds like that banner might be making a comeback now that LeBron is running with the Cavs again, though.

According to The Plain Dealer, the Cleveland City Planning Commission is currently reviewing several photos of LeBron and trying to decide which one should be approved for a new banner that is going to be put up before the 2014-15 NBA season. The banner will hang in the same spot as it did before on the Sherwin-Williams headquarters complex. The space currently looks like this:

But if everything goes according to plan, the banner that is hanging on the building now will be replaced with one that has LeBron on it. Stay tuned to see which image ends up going on the banner.
