Lance Stephenson will enter the free agency market this summer, and if the series against the Heat is the last we've seen of him as a Pacer, he's going out with a bad look. He hasn't been great, and the good he's done has been overshadowed by his childish antics against LeBron James, who was more focused on winning than retaliating.
But will he be back as a Pacer? His teammates don't even know. Paul George was one of them. When your team's best player gives ambiguous postgame conference answers on if he'd like you back, that's not a good sign.
None
Mind you, Bird, who's the Pacers' president, wasn't too happy with Stephenson before the game.
And David West?
Does Lance return? "I think so. I hope so," said David West.
Also, ESPNquoted an anonymous source who said that members in the Pacers organization wouldn't give Stephenson a "rich, long-term contract" because of his behavior.
Perhaps one of the few bits of good news about Stephenson's Pacers future is how coach Frank Vogel praised his competitive edge in Friday's postgame conference. Still, is he worth keeping in an Eastern Conference that's going to get stronger and against a Miami squad that consistently humbles the Pacers when it needs to?
