In skateboarding it's not a matter of if you'll take a big fall; it's when you'll take a big fall. If you're lucky you'll walk away with a few scratches, some bruises, and no video evidence. But if you're unlucky your arm or leg will look like a Tetris piece and your jackass friend has it all on tape and ready for YouTube. No amount of padding would have stopped that arm from cracking like a piece of peanut brittle. 

"What happened to your face?" 

"My skateboard bounced up five feet and cracked me in the eye." 

"No, really, man."

One time a car ran over my friend's board and it miraculously didn't break. So this is like the same thing, except with a person.

My favorite crashes are the ones where the skater gets hit by their board moments after falling. It's just that little extra "fuck you" from the universe.

He's hooked on skateboarding.

Poor kid wrecked his jewels before he even got a chance to use them.

Some one did tumbling classes as a child. Look at that roll.

We feel bad for this guy. He had the goofiest smile on his face until things went wrong.

I'm no pro, but I believe the goal is to go up the ramp. Not face first into it.

His ass (and tailbone) don't even help cushion the fall. Dude took a jolt straight to the back.

Homeboy Bruce Treby separated his small intestine from its big brother and needed eight stitches in the face. Ouch.

We don't know how this doesn't happen more often. Dude is incredibly lucky to be alive.

He looks awfully calm for his arm getting murked. Just wait until the shock fades out...

When centrifugal fails you.
