When it comes to publicity, the NHL needs as much of it as they can get right now. So, they're reportedly thinking about trying something really, really crazy next January.

In the past, they've held outdoor games in places like Chicago and Boston. But, next year, they want to try to hold one in Los Angeles inside of Dodger Stadium. Using the portable rink and refrigeration equipment that they've used in the past, the NHL wants the Los Angeles Kings to host an outdoor game on January 25, 2014 against a team to be determined later.

Plans for the game are set to be announced later this month. Think it'll work? Or, will the Kings end up playing in the NHL's first-ever water polo match next January? Either way, it'll bring the league the publicity. We're just not sure if that's necessarily going to be a good thing.
