In order to prove to the public that dogs, even cast off dogs, can be trained to do just about anything, because they're nature's cheerful and willing slaves, this animal adoption charity in New Zealand taught some dogs how to drive a Mini Countryman. This marks the first time something unrelated to The Lord of the Rings has put New Zealand into the news since 2001.

How is it that nobody seems to think that standing directly in front of a car that is being driven by a particularly well-behaved but still, no doubt reckless and impulsive Schnauzer is a good idea?
