The Miami Heat better start shaking in their boots. Dwight Howard has just been traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in a blockbuster four-team deal. According to ESPN's Marc Stein, The Lakers will receive Howard, the Denver Nuggets will get Andre Iguodala, the Philadelphia 76ers will receive Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Orlando Magic will acquire Arron Affalo, Al HarringtonNikola Vucevic and a lottery protected first-round pick from each of the other three teams.

Once again Pau Gasol escapes the trade block and will be able to call LA home for the time being—he was rumored to be in the trade earlier in the day. Reports are saying the Lakers made the deal without a guarantee that Howard would sign an extension with them, believing their history of building championship teams will convince him eventually. Sources have also said, if Dwight isn't happy after his first year with LA, the Dallas Mavericks will be waiting in the wing. The 76ers have also agreed to take on Bynum without a guarantee that he would sign for the long-term. The saga continues.

This move has just made the Lakers instant contenders. Howard, Gasol, Nash and Kobe are going to give folks nightmares.

Do you think the rest of league should be afraid?
