Yesterday, we put up a post that featured Chase Budinger, one of this year's NBA Slam Dunk Contest participants, dunking over a cardboard cutout of Yao Ming. And we mentioned how that would have been a pretty cool dunk to save for the actual contest. But now comes the news that Knicks guardIman Shumpert had an even better item picked out to jump over during the event: Jeremy Lin's couch!

Unfortunately, though, Shumpert is currently battling tendinitis in his knee, meaning he won't be able to participate in the dunk contest. So the world won't get to see Lin's couch make a cameo at All-Star Weekend. "Once my knee was so sore, I started thinking about it," Shumpert says, "'Am I going to be able to jump over the couch?' All kinds of things to think about."

True. Better safe than sorry, son. But this sounds like it would have been epic.
