Complex Says: To the uninitiated, the 1908 Model S looks pretty much the same as any other turn-of-the-century automobile. What makes it so special is that this was the car that introduced interchangeable parts to the motoring world. Prior to this vehicle, each part was fitted to the specific car, and there was no way to go down to NAPA Auto Parts and pick up a new whatever. The Model S was the first car that was easy to repair, and it picked up a Dewar Trophy for its innovation.
