Year: 1981
Complex Says: Cylinder deactivation is a brilliant idea that may help save the supercar from extinction. However, in 1981, when the average upper-middle-class American didn't walk around with a dual-core CPU in his pocket, it was a terrible idea. The Cadillac Fleetwood V-8-6-4 not only suffered from a terribly jerky, bumpy, stuttering, noisy, burping, stalling ride on account of its main advertising feature, but it had a crappy name, too.
