4. Hack Wilson
Years Active: 1923-1934
Team(s): Giants, Cubs, Dodgers, Phillies
Playing Weight: 190 lbs.
Known for an insatiable appetite for alcohol and a propensity to fight just about anyone (fans in the stands, opponents on the field and in dugouts and train stations), Wilson's also known for one of the finest batting seasons in baseball history: in 1930 he hit 56 homers with a video-game-like 1.177 OPS and a record 191 RBI (a mark that no player has gotten within 20 of since). Perhaps a result of his mammoth year in '30, Wilson showed up for training camp 20 pounds overweight in '31, and had only one good year the rest of his career.
