Tennessee Receiver Kenny Britt Initiates Police Chase, Fails at Getaway

An unexplainable, titan of an automotive fumble.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt is the latest athlete to receive an off-the-field "SMH Award." Around 4pm on Tuesday, the former 1st round pick and Rutgers University star was instructed to pull over by cops in Bayonne, N.J. But instead of abiding like a good dude, Britt stomped the pedal of his 2010 Porsche Panamera S and took off.

Officers from the Bayonne police department say that just a few miles later, Britt stopped the car without incident, and attempted to walk away with his passenger. When questioned, the unidentified companion tried his own getaway, on foot. As you may have guessed, his attempt also ended rather unsuccessfully. He was detained for possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. Britt was also arrested, and charged with 2nd degree eluding and ubstruction. The Panamera, which he claimed wasn't his (it is) was impounded.

This isn't Britt's first NJ arrest. He was also nabbed in January 2010 for outstanding traffic warrants.
