At long last, winter is over. Time to add some new kicks to your rotation. In our latest episode of Northern Soles, Toronto Sneakerhead Andy Dang (a.k.a @certified) shares with you some of the best upcoming sneakers that should be on your radar. This episode covers three hot collaborations: Nike and streetwear brand CLOT, A Ma Maniére utilizing the Air Jordan 2, and Chicago-based designer Joe Freshgoods with his spin on New Balance’s 550. Watch the episode below and keep scrolling to see Andy’s full list of upcoming hype.

Air Jordan 2 x A Ma Maniére

A Ma Maniere

Price: $225 USD

Where to buy: a-ma-maniere.com, SNKRS app

A Ma Maniére is back again with another Jordan brand collab. The Air Jordan 2 was the sneaker of choice to get the premium treatment this time around. Although there has always been a little bit of uncertainty around the Jordan 2’s styling in the sneaker community, Jordan Brand had some key collaborations using this silhouette that may have some people coming around. Virgil Abloh had his Jordan 2 x Off-White pairs and then there was Union Los Angeles, which I think did a superb job with their spin on the Jordan 2. Up next is A Ma Maniére and I’d wager most people would agree that they did a great job. Just like the A Ma Maniére 3s and 1s that dropped previously, this release is expected to sell out instantly, so make sure you join all the raffles that are available! Dropping April 29th.

Perhaps one of the most unique sneaker designs in recent years, the Yeezy Foam Runner debuted back in June of 2020. Receiving mixed reviews from the sneaker community, it did not stop the sneaker from finding a core audience that value comfort and a bold design above all else. As the weather gets warmer we are likely to see more Foam Runners and Yeezy Slides dropping soon. The Foam Runner ‘Sulfur’ drops April 16th.

Price: $150 USD each

Where to buy: Asics.com

Atmos and Asics have teamed up yet again this time decorating the GEL-LYTE III OG and paying homage to the Tokyo and New York City subway systems. The maps of each respective city on the sneakers are an accurate all-over map print. Asics announced an April 9th release date for the NYC pair and April 23rd for the Tokyo but the Asics website has both pairs saying it’s “coming soon,” so it’s very likely they will drop together on the 23rd.
