Twitter Reacts to Lonzo Ball's $495 Signature Sneaker

Jokes about Lonzo Ball's expensive signature sneaker are flying on Twitter.

Earlier today, LaVar Ball and the Big Baller Brand sent Twitter into a frenzy when they officially unveiled Lonzo Ball's first signature sneaker, the BBB ZO2. While the jokes were always going to fly, a day-long trend was ensured when LaVar pulled off the most LaVar-est move of all-time—starting pricing for the shoe at a whopping $495. We say starting because depending on the shoe size and the option to choose an autographed pair with special packaging, the total can climb to $1,195—this all before you get to the $220 slides they're also selling.

As expected, Twitter wasn't having any of it. While there was praise for the actual design of the shoe, finding someone willing to fork over a mortgage payment to secure a pair is seemingly impossible. Throw in an endless amount of Nike Kobe comparisons and some shots at the faux-Boost midsole, and you have an extremely entertaining social media day. For that, we thank you LaVar.
