A couple of weeks ago we featured Mis Zapas in the Blogger Spotlight and now we are back with a full look at "Mis Zapas: The Book". The Book is much like the website: a visual encyclopedia of basketball shoes. While the website uses actual photos of the shoes, the book gets a little more artistic with illustrated examples of the shoes in a clean style with accurate colorways, along with some of the players that wore them.
The Book is a comprehensive list of all basketball shoes - or at least every one worth noting - from the first page with the Converse Chuck Taylor, from 1923, to the last page of the Lebron 9 Elite, released only months ago. From the adidas Mutombo to the Reebok Zig Slash, everybody will find their favorite shoe, and a few you forgot about, while looking through its pages.
The man behind Mis Zapas, Alberto Rodriguez, was kind enough to send us a copy of the very limited (100 copies) book so you all can get a look inside. The 468 page book is available for purchase from miszapas.net now, but act fast since supplies are limited.
