Zara is best known for providing on-trend clothes for the low, but recently, the fast fashion brand's sneakers have become infamous for being a little too on-trend. Last summer, it copied a pair of Kevin Durant sneakers, and at the top of the year, there was a super offensive adidas Yeezy 750 Boost bite. Now, the brand has just launched a women's "Gymwear" collection, which stays true to form with yet another blatant sneaker rip off.
Seen above is the Zara "Braided Sneaker," which appears to be based on the Nike Free Hypervenom 2 and even manages to sneak in some design cues reminiscent of the Y-3 line. As if these weren't bad enough, they aren't the only distasteful kicks in the collection—there's also one which apes the oft-imitated Stan Smith and another pair with similarities to the ZX Flux Slip-On.
With so many other affordable sneakers out there these days, it's probably better to just stay away from these altogether. Nevertheless, the Zara "Gymwear" collection is now available here.
