Around this time last year, a leak surfaced of a purported Off-White x Vans collab. With no signs of an official release, it looks like Vans has taken matters into its own hands by putting Virgil Abloh's signature spin on two of its most significant sneakers.
Vans' recently-released deconstructed "Inside Out" pack includes the Sk8-Hi and Slip-On silhouettes with numerous details reminiscent of Abloh's Off-White work. The group's black/white and marshmallow colorways feature exposed stitching and misplaced panels including a shift of the "off the wall" badge from the heel to the side wall.
Perhaps most glaring, though, is the "off the wall" print on each pair's shoelaces, which even appears to use a font similar to Abloh's go-to Helvetica.
Further changes from the standard models include the addition of a zipper to the Sk8-Hi and laces on the Slip-On.
Abloh's own fall/winter 2018 Off-White Vulc Low-Top Sneaker drew heavy inspiration from the Vans Old Skool.
All four pairs here are arriving at retailers now including Canada's Haven, where they've already sold out in all sizes.
