When Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison posed for a family holiday photo last year, he did so in his trusty, well-worn K-Swiss sneakers. But apparently someone on his staff deemed the shoes unfit for Morrison's official website and attempted to Photoshop him in a pair of nondescript crisp white sneakers instead.
The gaffe was soon pointed out by Twitter user @lukerhn, who noticed that Morrison appeared to be wearing two left shoes. Shortly after the tweet, the header image on Morrison's website was reverted back to the original version, but not without some input from the Prime Minister himself.
"I didn't ask for the shoeshine, but if you must Photoshop, please focus on the hair," Morrison joked in a tweet. Despite the firsthand acknowledgement, Twitter followed up by doing what it does best and creating dozens of flips and memes related to the Prime Minister's footwear.
