One of the highlights of Adidas'Q4 earnings report was the revelation that the brand sold one million pairs of Parley for the Oceans sneakers in 2017. While that figure may be daunting to follow, it isn't stopping the brand from serving up more of the sustainable collaboration.
The latest model to receive the Parley treatment is the Adidas NMD_CS1. Sometimes called the NMD City Sock, this lifestyle model debuted in 2016, but it's never received a Parley collab—until now. The Primeknit-based sneaker uses yarn created from up-cycled plastic waste collected from beaches and like many of Parley's collaborations, blends ocean blue accents into this striped sock-like model.
Parley's NMD_CS1 retails for $220 and will receive a global release on Saturday, March 31.
