After his numerous collaborations with Jordan Brand and Nike, Don C is keeping it in the family through a new project with Converse.
Rather than work an already hyped model like the Chuck Taylor or One Star, Don C will instead will help the brand bring new life to its ERX-260 basketball sneaker from 1988. Formerly worn by the likes of Magic Johnson, the ERX-260 featured what Converse called Energy Return X cushioning—hence its name.
For holiday 2018, Don C has updated the high-top with premium materials such as pony hair, snakeskin, and leopard print. Red/white and white/black leather colorways include studded details, while a multicolored pony hair make up features custom "Dons" branding in place of the traditional "Cons" logo.
The Just Don x Converse ERX collection will release this holiday season in four colorways alongside apparel and accessories, with more to follow next spring.
