In the past, celebrities have commissioned some head-scratching custom sneaker work, and Diddy is the next in line with a pair of Nike Air Yeezy IIs.
Designed by @relevantcustoms and @richandfaded for the entertainer and mogul, these customs aren't necessarily bad as much as they are perplexing. Who thought it would be a good idea to take one of the more elegant sneakers in recent memory and do this to them?
There's a little bit of everything here: suede on the toe, sting ray on the toe box, lizard on the strap, python on the panels, and ostrich on the tongue and heel. Although the mash-up of materials is a bit grating, it's nice to see they kept it simple with a black base.
Down low, it looks to be an Nike Air Tech Challenge II outsole that finishes off the look instead of the usual glow-in-the-dark Yeezy sole. We'll stick with the O.G. design.
