This week of releases is highlighted by the highly anticipated debut of Beyoncé's Ivy Park x Adidas collection. Elsewhere we see an unlikely retro from Jordan Brand, a pack from Nike mashing up two of its most iconic silhouettes, and much more.
Things kick off on Wednesday with the launch of the "Volt" Air Max 90, "Chinese New Year" Kyrie 6, and "87 x 91" Nike DNA Series. The following day, Jordan Brand brings back the Women's Air Jordan OG for the first time since 1998. On Friday, the PG 4 hits stores in the first of what is sure to be numerous colorways inspired by Gatorade. Things finish up on Saturday with a satin Air Jordan I and three pairs from the first Ivy Park x Adidas collection.

Nike Air Max 90 'Volt'

What You Need to Know: Following a slight release date change, the "Volt" Air Max 90 is dropping in celebration of the retro runner's 30th anniversary this Wednesday.
Nike Kyrie 6 'Chinese New Year'

What You Need to Know: Nike is celebrating the Year of the Mouse with a handful of releases, one of which is the "Chinese New Year" Kyrie 6 hitting stores this Wednesday. Its black upper is highlight by colorful detailing including a blue heel counter, green liner, purple outsole tread, and yellow laces. The most eye-catching accent is the multi-colored strap inspired by the folk-art tradition of Jianzhi (paper-cutting).
Nike DNA Series '87 x 91' Pack

When: Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: Nike is introducing the DNA series this week with the "87 x 91" pack. The two-pack features an Air Huarache and Air Max 1. Rather than color up each silhouette in its own OG colorway, the color schemes have been swapped resulting in a "University Red" Huarache and "Scream Green" Air Max 1. A handful of other signature elements from two of Tinker Hatfield's most notorious creations have also been swapped between the duo to give each pair in the pack an even more unique appearance.
Women's Air Jordan OG

What You Need to Know: In a bit of an unexpected announcement, Jordan Brand is bringing back the Women's Air Jordan OG for the first time since 1998. The model was famously worn by plenty of WNBA stars during the era, and marked the first time JB produced a performance basketball sneaker specifically for women. Despite a new shape, the upper clearly takes tons of inspiration from the Air Jordan XIII. A "W" embroidered on the heel further alludes to this particular pair's purpose.
Gatorade x Nike PG 4 'Gx'
Price: $120
When: Friday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: Much like the plethora of "Playstation" PG 2.5 or "NASA" PG 3s in years prior, Nike appears to be using Gatorade as a recurring theme on the PG 4. The debut "Gx" pair is covered in a purple upper reminiscent of the grape-flavored sports drink. Details include a bubble graphic covering the upper and official Gatorade "Gx" branding on the tongue and insoles as a nod to the brand's platform that provides personalized sports nutrition recommendations to athletes.
Air Jordan I 'Black/Gym Red'

What You Need to Know: This brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 maintains the classic black and red Chicago Bulls color scheme that has been used on so many iterations before it, but provides more premium materials. Rather than the traditional all-leather construction, certain panels on the all-black upper have been replaced with satin. A leather "Nike Air" tongue tab and red laces complete the simplistic design.
Ivy Park x Adidas Collection

What You Need to Know: Beyhive rejoice. Beyoncé's Ivy Park collection of sneakers and apparel with Adidas is finally releasing this weekend. The collection uses a burgundy, orange, and cream color palette across various silhouettes including the Ultra Boost and Nite Jogger. Given Beyoncé is one of the most celebrated entertainers of all time with one of the most dedicated fanbases, expect these to fly off the shelves with ease on Saturday morning.
