Sneakerheads have all had someone joke to them about having a foot fetish at one time or another. Today, Dazed taught us there are people out there not just with foot fetishes, but with serious sneaker fetishes.
At an expo last week in Paris, there was the live scene of a man licking, kissing, and getting his throat stuffed with Nike Air Max 1s and Nike Air Classic BWs. If only Fat Joe knew what he started.
If you were wondering why this is even happening, Pinar, one of the women wearing the sneakers, said about the men who lick them: "He said that his first memories were about sneakers – as a child, he was really fascinated by them. As he grew older, his fascination became something quite sexual."
That sounds like some hypebeasts you might meet, but then it took a stranger turn. Pinar went on to say, "I think sneakers are quite suitable as fetish objects: they’re tactile, they have so many different textures. Everything is streamline and aerodynamic. It’s something that comes very clean and perfect, but when it’s used it becomes something very personal – almost like underwear – and something dirty."
Before you label your next Instagram photo as "#sneakerporn," think again. You might be joining a crowd you were unaware of.
