These Star-Studded Air Force 1s Are NOT the Next Riccardo Tisci x Nike Project

There were rumors of a new Riccardo Tisci x Nike collab. Sadly, they're not true.

Yesterday, a few sneaker media outlets picked up a story on three pairs of Nike Air Force 1s, which had embossed stars all over the uppers, and labeled them as the next Riccardo Tisci x Nike collaboration—following up the three packs of Air Force 1s that Tisci designed in 2014. The reasoning, mainly, was because the stars were similar to the designs that have become synonymous with Givenchy, the high-fashion label that is creative directed by Tisci.

Today, we have a look at an all-black pair of the same AF1s and got word from an undisclosed retailer that these are not a Tisci x Nike design. In an email, we were told, "The only thing I know is that the black one with stars is not a Tisci collab."

The sneakers, however, are slated to come out in the third quarter of 2015. Sorry to burst the hype bubble.
