Sneakers and the hip-hop community have always been closely tied together, but Under Armour is still a fairly new player in the game and doesn't have rap roots nearly as deep as other brands. As the brand continues to grow in popularity, it looks like rappers are starting to take notice. After watching Stephen Curry light up the court last night, Action Bronson took to Twitter to express his thoughts on Under Armour.
Bronson credits the reigning MVP for making him want to get some Under Armour sneakers, "Steph Curry gonna fuck around and make me buy an Under Armour shoe," he said. The brand was quick to reply by asking him for his size, and Bronson took this opportunity to respond with: "ENDORSEMENT DEAL." Given Bronson's love for sneakers, and Under Armour's big push to reach more consumers, we could see something cool come out of this exchange. Even if it doesn't result in a deal, we expect Bronson will be getting some Curry 2s in the mail soon.
