Pharrell's had the sneaker community buzzing the past few days over his custom adidas Stan Smith "Swarovski" that he debuted on Saturday Night Live. The eye-catching sneakers even drew away attention from what has become his signature ranger-style hat. And for good reason, too.
Billboard had the opportunity to speak with a Swarovski spokesperson and it was revealed that the Stan Smiths feature 1,600 crystals. Wow. The spokesperson told Billboard, “It took over 10 hours to hand-apply the crystals to create the effect he was looking for, and they’re totally unique. We couldn’t put a price to them.” Welp. Talk about Billionaire Boys Club, huh, Pharrell?
