Just last week, we showed you an early look at an upcoming galaxy-themed collaboration between Extra Butter and Saucony. It looks like Sneaker News just ascended right into space with them because they just got an exclusive look at two of the sneakers from the collaboration.
The Extra Butter x Saucony Grid 9000 "ACES" takes inspiration from the orange suits worn by astronauts officially called the Advanced Crew Escape Suit. The Grid 9000 combines orange suede and nylon with 3M hits for that extra reflective pop.
The second sneaker in the collection is the Shadow Master "Space Snack" that pays homage to neapolitan freeze-dried ice cream, or "space ice cream," that you would typically find at a planetarium's gift shop. The "Space Snack" is outfitted in pink, off-white, and brown suede to represent this frozen delight.
The Grid 9000 "ACES" is the first sneaker to drop and releases at the Extra Butter Orchard St. location on April 24, the Merrick Rd. spot on April 26, and online on April 28. In the meantime, explore this collaboration for yourself and be sure to check out the complete Sneaker News Select feature on the Extra Butter x Saucony "Space Race" pack.
