After a three-sneaker collaboration with ASICS, Bait is back for some more collaboration fun. This time, the Southern California-based retailer connects with Fila to honor former basketball star Grant Hill. If you're memory is failing you, Hill had a couple of signature sneakers with Fila back in his heyday.
The Fila 96 "The Next Chapter" is inspired by Hill's current life following a 19-year NBA career. The vintage hoops shoe features a premium grey nubuck upper, black leather, and a healthy dose of red on the outsole and lining. Fila logos on the 96's tongue and side panel have been removed, and the only Fila branding appears to be on the midsole near the toebox. Rounding out the design is an embedded Bait logo on the black leather portion of the heel.
The launch date is set for July 26 in-store and online at Bait, and you actually register for a chance to purchase the sneakers here.
