After 15 long years the Nike Zoom Flight '98 "The Glove" has finally made its way back to retail (and onto your feet if you were lucky last week). And while we are huge fans of the original black/white colorway that released, we couldn't help but imagine "The Glove" in various colorways relevant to Gary Payton's personal background and basketball career. From his days at Skyline High School in Oakland California to his induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame this summer, we have created 10 Colorways We'd Like to See of Nike's Zoom Flight '98 "The Glove." Inspiration: Gary Payton's days at Skyline High School

Gary Payton's basketball career started in Oakland, California at Skyline High School. His No. 20 away jersey became the inspiration for this "Skyline High School" colorway of the Nike Zoom Flight '98 the second we laid eyes on it.

In 1996 the Seattle Supersonics took on the Chicago Bulls and Gary Payton was handed the task of guarding the great Michael Jordan. The Supersonics uniform, and GP's play, inspired this "1996 NBA Finals" colorway of the Nike Zoom Flight '98.
