Protests in Baltimore, MD. turned violent on Monday, as riots broke out throughout the city following the funeral of Freddie Gray—a 25-year-old man who died of an unexplained injury while under police custody.

Many areas in the city were impacted by the widespread looting and violence, which included a massive fire to a building that was under construction and a CVS pharmacy that was also set on fire earlier in the day. Sneaker stores, including two of the Baltimore area's biggest sneaker chains — Shoe City and DTLR — weren't immune to the chaos. Users have taken to Twitter to post images from the Baltimore riots, some depicting the sneaker stores affected by looting.
