Since Kobe signed on with Nike back in 2003 and began releasing his line of signature sneakers in 2005. In that time, Kobe's been at the cutting edge of innovation often giving free reign to Nike designers to include the latest technologies they had to offer. Up until this year, majority of Kobe's signatures have been in low top form up until this year, where the Nike Kobe 9 Elite was developed following Kobe's tragic achilles injury.

Although Kobe is still sidelined, Nike is still releasing product for their top ambassador. Today, we get our first look at the Nike Kobe 9 low. Featuring a yellow upper with black sole and red accents, the Kobe 9 low keeps many of the same elements included in the high top with a few tweaks. Instead of Flyknit, the Kobe 9 low uses Engineered Mesh to create the upper with specially placed vents around the mid-foot. The low version also features a new midsole design, newly designed heel support, and an outsole traction inspired by Kobe's foot.

The Kobe 9 low has an expected release date of March 29 with a suggested retail of $160. Keep it locked to Sneaker Report for more information and future updates surrounding the Nike Kobe 9.
