New Balance has been making huge waves with its lifestyle offerings, but the Boston-based sportswear brand is shifting its focus to basketball for its next sneaker release.
Shown here is the New Balance Two Wxy V2, a new basketball model from the brand that’s designed for players at any position. The Two Wxy V2 features a new Fitweave Light upper that provides stretch and support to the wearer’s feet, which replaces the Kinetic Stitch material used on the previous rendition of the shoe. The underfoot is cushioned with FuelCell tech for responsiveness and impact protection on the court.
“We’re really excited about the innovative technology packed into this performance basketball shoe,” Trent Casper, the general manager of New Balance Basketball and Lifestyle Concepts. “Our goal was to build off of the TWO WXY we know and love and create a new, dynamic performance-driven shoe, under the FuelCell platform, that provides our athletes with the tools to perform at the highest level.”
The New Balance Two Wxy V2 will be released on May 27 at Newbalance.com and at select New Balance retailers for $130.
