New Balance has announced its latest collaboration releasing later this month, and for the first time ever, the footwear brand has tapped Levi's to work on a sneaker, specifically the popular 1300 silhouette.
This won't be a proper Levi's collab without the use of the brand's signature denim material, and to make this upcoming release special, the shoe uses the White Oak XX52 indigo denim from the White Oak Mill on the upper, which was one of the last manufacturers to make selvedge denim in the states before it closed its door in 2017. Adding contrast are tan-colored suede overlays, Levi's signature orange tab on the sides, which sits atop an Encap tooling.
The Levi’s x New Balance 1300 Sneaker will be available on Newbalance.com, Levi’s stores and select New Balance retailers on Mar. 26, for a retail price of $200.
UPDATE (03/25): In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the Levi's x New Balance 1300 collab that was initially scheduled to release tomorrow has been postponed and is now releasing on April 24 exclusively on Levi.com and New Balance.com for $200.
