One of the more surprising collabs in recent months comes from Heddels and PF Flyers, who have teamed up for a limited run of sneakers commemorating Project Mercury, the United States' first manned space program.

Materials used on the sneaker follow those from the original spacesuits and space capsules, with uppers featuring aluminized Nomex (heat resistant up to 3000°F), nickel alloy eyelets, paracord laces, and orange satin lining. Included with the shoes are a parachute fabric shoe bag and a custom wooden crate packed with shredded NASA documents.

The shoe will retail for $380 with a limited run of 21 pairs via raffle, which is the same number of spacesuits used by NASA in the Mercury space program. For a deeper dive into the collaboration, visit Heddels
