After releasing numerous iterations of the Chuck Taylor All Stars for past projects, frequent collaborators Comme des Garçons PLAY and Converse are taking a different approach for their next joint effort.
Shown here is the Comme des Garçons PLAY x Converse One Star collection that’s hitting stores next week. This is the first time that the Japanese fashion label is putting its spin on the classic low-top model, but the sneakers still feature familiar CDG details like the red heart logo stamped on the upper. The CDG x Converse One Star will be available in white and black-based colorways, with both pairs featuring a red star branding at the midfoot and a white midsole.
Both iterations of the Comme des Garçons PLAY x Converse One Star will be released on July 28 at doverstreetmarket.com, converse.com, and at Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market stores. Each pair retails for $140.
