UK grime artist Skepta seemed to be celebrating Air Max Day early by showing off this Air Classic BW he designed on Instagram today.
The shoe is a straightforward black on black suede design that's dubbed the "Blacklisted BW" in Skepta's Instagram captions. He says he traveled to Nike's world headquarters in Beaverton, Ore., about a year ago to talk about the Air Max line and start the work on his own shoe.
It's unclear if this model will arrive as a retail release. One of the photos posted has it next to the recent red Nike Sportswear box, which is a promising indicator that a launch for the public could be coming.
The reigning king of grime sneaker collaborators remains Dizzee Rascal, the genre pioneer who has Air Max 90, Air 180 and Air Force 1 collaborations on his resume.
