Sure, the USA Basketball squad demolished China in a 119-62 victory in their first game at the 2016 Rio Olympics, but that doesn't mean the Chinese team didn't have a few highlights. One of those came when Zhao Jiwei sent Paul George to the floor with a move at the end of the fourth quarter.

After the game, George denied actually being crossed, blaming his sneakers for the spill.

"I didn't get crossed," he says in the below clip from Bleacher Report. "My shoes—check out the shoes—I had too much grip." George was wearing the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 in the patriotic "USA" colorway.

It sounds like George won't be playing in this sneaker too much longer: his complaints about traction aside, his first Nike signature model is rumored to be releasing soon.
