There's no question that Nike dominated the Kobe Bryant retirement conversation yesterday between its sneakers and campaigns. That being said, adidas is serving up a reminder of Bryant's time with the brand via its "Vino Pack."
Following recent leaks, adidas athlete and Los Angeles Laker Nick Young took to Instagram yesterday to reveal the collection. His photo features the first look at the adidas Kobe 1 from the group, which has the most thorough cork treatment in the pack.
Young's caption feels ill-advised: He uses #MambaDay on the photo, a hashtag started by Nike for Bryant's retirement.
The "Vino Pack" references Bryant's "Vino" nickname with wine-inspired sneaker designs.
