With another Grand Slam tournament right around the corner, Nike is again dressing up one of its retro tennis sneakers to mark the occasion.

The shoe, the Nike Tennis Classic, dons Chinese embroidery on its heeltabs on this new release. The lettering there reads "Naike," a transliteration of the brand's name that's popped up elsewhere on retro sneakers.

While Nike doesn't explicitly say so, this model is tied to the upcoming French Open.

This "Naike" Tennis Classic launched today in China, but it's unclear if a wider release is coming. For what it's worth, plenty of shoes with this kind of branding have touched down in the U.S. before, so it doesn't necessarily denote Asia exclusivity.
