Mastermind Japan brings its no-frills aesthetic to Asics' Onitsuka Tiger line on this, a new collaboration between the two Japanese companies.
While most may associate the retro ranges of Asics and Onitsuka Tiger with runners, this set selects the archival Fabre Nippon basketball shoe as its muse. The 1982 model is updated with premium leather, side zippers, gold heel rings and mastermind's signature skull and crossbones hits on the back.
While the capsule here is very much of Japanese origin, the launch will extend beyond that nation: the mastermind x Onitsuka Tiger collaboration releases globally this Saturday, March 26.
