Detractors of Under Armour's Steph Curry shoes often claim that the line doesn't have enough appeal for off-court wear, despite being a fine performer on-court. Disagreeing with that is Bay Area legend and Golden State Warriors fan E-40.

"Whatever they was looking at they got it wrong–they need to step they game up," 40 said in an interview with Sole Collector on the subject of those complaining about the line's lifestyle potential. "I've seen it evolve, I've seen the first pair–they had sent me a pair of the first Stephs–and they came a long way. Right now they making some incredible stuff."

The rapper has been getting free shoes from Under Armour for a while now, and even teamed up with the brand for the launch of the new Curry Lux line in Oakland last weekend.

That being said, he's not keeping his sneaker wears exclusive to Under Armour. E-40 says that he'll be wearing stuff from the Nike KD line too now that Kevin Durant is with the Warriors. "I'll wear both. I’m not tripping and they on the same team. We rocking as long as it fit me right and look good."

Aside from working on the follow-up to his Poverty and Prosperity EP from 2015, E-40 has been in the mix with Footaction for its "Free Flow" video series. Watch the first episode below, where he links up with Omarion, Casey Veggies, and B.J. The Chicago Kid during a cross-country private flight.
