How many other sports will Kanye West's Adidas Yeezy line extend to following its football debut in 2016? Rumor has it there's a Yeezy Basketball sneaker releasing in 2017, and it sounds like Adidas Yeezy soccer cleats aren't outside the realm of possibility either.
Adidas senior footwear designer Marc Illan, who works on Lionel Messi's Adidas cleats, welcomes the idea in a new interview with Complex.
"Why not?" Illan said when asked about Yeezy soccer boots. "This guy is into doing different things. He’s been successful in fashion, why not in performance?"
Adidas announced in June, 2016, that it would expand West's Yeezy line to include performance models complementing his lifestyle offerings.
