Over the last 22 years, the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation has distributed millions of dollars to local non-profit community organizations with funds raised through events like the Annual Black Tie & Tennies Gala. The event features Orlando Magic players, coaches, talent and fans dressed in formal wear and sneakers participating in an evening of games, silent and live auctions, dinner and awards. The 2012 OMYF Black Tie and Tennies event was held at Amway Center on Saturday and was headlined by Dwight Howard and J.J. Redick being named recipients of the Rich & Helen DeVos Community Enrichment Award. Along with the awards, each player was given $50,000 to donate to a charity of their choosing.
