In perhaps the most spectacular fashion, Russell Westbrook has officially separated himself as the King of the Triple-Double.
Today, against the Denver Nuggets, Westbrook not only recorded his 42nd triple-double of the season, but he hit a game-winning 35-foot three-pointer at the buzzer to give him 50 points. Westbrook passes the previous mark set by Oscar Robertson in the 1961-62 season.
Celebrating the unlikely feat, Jordan Brand has put together a "Big O" commercial spot, paying tribute to both Westbrook and Robertson's legendary seasons with Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground" as the soundtrack. Additionally, the brand will release Westbrook's "Why Not?" Air Jordan 31 PE on April 29. Inspired by his coveted Air Jordan 3 PE from 2013, the shoe sports the iconic "Black Cement" colorway, with an OKC-flavored twist. The release will take place at jordan.com and select Jordan retailers.
