For the second straight year, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant has embarked on a tour of China. Today, in his first visit to Guangzhou, Durant visited Jinan University to meet and share his basketball stories with local basketball fans. He also met with volunteers from the GameChangers program, encouraging them to maintain their efforts to help the disadvantaged by using sports to give back to the community.
Also for the second straight year, the "Scoring Title" colorway of Durant's signature shoe was released in China before anywhere else. First seen in May prior to Oklahoma City's Western Conference Finals match-up with the Dallas Mavericks, the home "Scoring Title" KD III features a white synthetic base with team orange and photo blue accents. Graphic work on the side panels pays tribute to elements of Durant's upbringing. Completing the look below is an icy translucent outsole.
Durant confirmed the release of the "Scoring Titles" on his Facebook page, but left a global release date up in the air. Also no word on whether or not we'll see the away colorway. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any new developments on the stateside drop here at Sole Collector.
