During All-Star Weekend, LeBron James turned heads when he practiced in a "Red Carpet" colorway of the Nike LeBron 14. One of the most popular schemes in James' signature sneaker line, "Red Carpet" was introduced on the Air Max LeBron 7 in 2009, when he wore the shoes against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. The LeBron 14 was initially believed to be a sample, but retail availability will soon be a reality.
Designated as a premium take on the model, the shoe sports the familiar mix of black and bright blue, with red chiming in on minor details and a spare set of laces. Release date is currently set for Saturday, May 27 at a retail price of $175.
