Tinker Hatfield is mostly known for his worn on Michael Jordan's signature line, but his catalog runs far deeper. Celebrating some of the Architect's greatest non-Jordan contributions to footwear design, Nike and Jordan Brand have teamed up for the "Nike Icons" Collection, Air Jordan retros inspired by colorways borrowed from some of Hatfield's most beloved Nikes.
The Air Jordan 3 gets a "Chlorophyll" makeover, pulling cues from the John McEnroe-worn Air Trainer 1. There's a little Bo Jackson flavor on the Air Trainer SC 2-themed Air Jordan 6, while the Air Jordan 8 inherits from its cross-strapped outdoor "cousin," the Air Raid. Lastly, the Air Jordan 10 is styled in the colors of the Air Huarache Light.
Take a look at the upcoming retros below, along with release information for each pair.
