Indigo continues to be a color that Nike Sportswear is using to tell stories through this summer.
The latest use of the rich hue comes courtesy of a collaboration between NikeLab and Japan's Loopwheeler, who roll out indigo-dyed version of the Air Force 1 Ultraforce and Sock Dart. Partners since 2008, the two decided to use hand-dyed indigo to maintain authenticity. Indigo-dyed cotton and heather white cotton are featured on both shoes, along with debossed leather tongue tabs. The shoes come with cotton drawstring bags printed with Loopwheeler and Nike logos.
Loopwheeler x NikeLab sneakers will release Sunday, July 16 on nike.com/nikelab and at NikeLab MA5 in Tokyo and at the Loopwheeler stores in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka.
