No stranger to exclusive Air Jordans, American hurdler Kori Carter just blew away the field in her most impressive pair to date.
A 400m Hurdle specialist, Carter won IAAF World Championship gold in a custom pair of "True Blue" Air Jordan 3 racing spikes. The spikes were made to mimic the basketball sneakers from 1988, including the elephant print detailing along the toe, heel and eyestay. Carter clocked in at 53.07, leading an American 1-2 finish in the event. This is the 25-year-old's first gold medal in major competition.
While it's not the first sport one thinks of when it comes to Jordan Brand, the Jumpman is well represented in track and field. Athletes like Mandy White, April Holmes, Brigetta Barrett and Erik Kynard are also part of Team Jordan.
