Showing no signs of slowing down after suffering a broken nose in last Sunday's NBA All-Star Game, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant once again strapped on the protective mask against the Sacramento Kings on Friday night. How's the mask impacting Kobe's game? Maybe for the better. Masked Mamba dialed up 38 points on 13-of-24 shooting against the Kings, adding 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block and a steal to lead the Lakers to a 115-107 win at home. In two games with the mask, Kobe is averaging nearly 35 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Will he start making it a regular part of his gameday attire like Rip Hamilton?
In addition to the mask, Kobe laced up the "Lakers Home" colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII for the very first time. The shoe sports a white synthetic upper with Concord and Del Sol accents throughout. Fortunately for fans of the shoes, they'll be dropping on Saturday, March 31.
Read on for a look at Kobe's first game in the "Lakers Home" VII below.
